About
My name is Duncan McFadzean. They tell me that Duncan means “Brave Warrior” and McFadzean means “Victory or Death”. But I’m kind of a non-conflict type of person really
I love the life that Jesus calls us all to, and the church that he’s re-shaping and the way I can read the bible for 17 years and still not really understand so much of it. Faith is a journey, not a destination.
I live in Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland, the country that calls itself “the greatest small country in the world“. I work in banking, in corporate finance, but am about to leave (July 31st) and set up new companies to generate profits that can be given away to help the marginalised. I am a part of the church family that happens to meet in one of the wealthiest parts of Edinburgh but has a heart for the people of the poorest parts, which is an interesting challenge in itself. I live somewhere in the ‘burbs in-between!
I’m married to Kathy, we’ve been married for over 10 years now. We got married in Northern Ireland.
I love writing, and blogging has been a great avenue to explore that. I love reading also. I’m part of a church family that has a heart for becoming a missional church, with an outward focus and a heart of love and a desire to show the gospel, not to just tell it. I’m part of a great small group of friends who are learning to know one another, love one another and walk with one another.
