Q - day 2
Q has been good so far, not quite as mind-blowing for me as last year, but some clear applications. I’ve loved the way they have set it up this year for us to meet new people each day (assigned seating, conversation questions, more breaks, learning journeys). I’ve enjoyed seeing Scott Hodge again (his blog notes are better than mine by far) and DJ Chuang (who is twittering Q). I’ve also met Jeff from the fermi project and also Marcela, Larry, Andrew, Mark & Vickie from Sydney(!), Gordon & Lauren from Atlanta, and Steve from last year - the names may mean nothing to you, but to me it was a whole bunch of people I could talk to, hear their stories, why they came, what they do, what they are going back to do, and to just share in that joint excitement that comes from just looking to live out the gospel and bring Jesus to a very desparate world in a very real way, changing whole cultures as we do that.
After the morning sessions I caved and went back to the hotel for a sleep as I had a migraine. Lack of sleep due to blogging all night! I’ll try and get to the remaining day 2 notes tomorrow (today???) as I still have 3 presenters to talk about, plus a trip to South Bronx, another two 3 minute talks, a world class artist 18 min session and of course the Fray session. But it’s now 2.13am and I have to get up at 6.45am………………
